Ghost Robotics and SWORD International have teamed up to create a rifle-toting “robot dog.” Called the Special Purpose Unmanned Rifle, or SPUR, the system adds a 6.5mm Creedmoor rifle from SWORD to one of Ghost Robotics’ quadrupedal unmanned ground vehicles, or Q-UGVs.

Hawaii Using COVID Robot Dog
Honolulu police have been using a robot dog to monitor homeless people at homeless sites in Oahu. The robot dog can monitor a person's temperature from seven feet away. The robot has been nicknamed "Spot" and cost $150,000.
Police justified the purchase earlier this year by saying that police officers who visited the homeless had to quarantine for two weeks because of concerns about catching COVID, so the robot dog protected the lives and health of police officers and kept them on duty.
According to KHON, the homeless sites have taken in 1700 homeless individuals but have recorded only 14 cases of COVID.
