Pharmacist: "I Will Not Give This Poison To People ... I've Seen Customers Die"


In a Safeway in Cortez, Colorado, with a surprising announcement.


She said, "This is Nichole Belland, pharmacy manager for Safeway store 1892 in Cortez. I quit effective immediately because I will not give this poison to people. Wake up, everybody. This is poison. This is hurting people. I’ve seen it. I’ve seen customers die. Wake up, do not take it.”

Belland was named "Pharmacist of the Month" by Pharmacy News Today in November 2017. At that time, in answer to a question about the most rewarding thing about being a pharmacist, she answered, "Having deep trusting relationships with patients."

Her job opening has been posted online, with a salary of $80-100,000 annually.
